The Judson ISD District Site Based Committee (DSBC) is soliciting nominations for the following vacancies for the 26-27 School Year:
4 elementary teachers
1 non-teaching campus based professional
1 business member, 1 special programs teacher
1 paraprofessional
1 manual trade employee
2 parents
1 community member
NOMINATIONS WILL BE TAKEN THROUGH FRIDAY NOON, AUGUST 14, 2026
The DSBC is an advisory committee that works with the Superintendent in an advisory role. Nomination forms are submitted by clicking THIS LINK.
The DSBC committee will meet 3 times this year at J-TECH (7990 Pat Booker Rd, Live Oak, TX 78233) from 5:30pm-6:30pm . By completing this form, you are voluntarily accepting to serve on the DSBC, or know that your nominee is interested and willing to serve and make a commitment to attend all meetings listed below. All nomination forms are online, and will be accepted through noon on Friday, August 14, 2026.
Please be advised that if more nominations are received than the vacancies available, we will draw for community, business, and parent names. For school district personnel vacancies, if more nominations are received than vacancies available, we will vote for the seats. Thank you so much!

Throughout his career, Mr. Garza has demonstrated proven success in both Texas public school districts and public charter school programs. He has played a key role in transforming struggling campuses by improving academic achievement, strengthening school culture, and implementing effective behavior systems that promote student success.
Known for his high-energy leadership style and student-centered approach, Mr. Garza is passionate about developing educators, building strong school communities, and creating environments where students and staff can thrive. His leadership is rooted in collaboration, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Outside of education, Mr. Garza values living a balanced life. He is a professional disc golfer, a professional trumpet player, and most importantly, enjoys spending quality time with his daughter, who inspires him to maintain balance and purpose in both his personal and professional life.

Ms. McHugh began her educational journey as a student teacher and has dedicated more than two decades to serving and leading at her previous campus. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of impactful roles, including classroom teacher, Gifted and Talented Coach, Assistant Principal for nine years, and Principal for one year. These experiences have shaped her belief that student success is built on strong relationships and meaningful partnerships among families, educators, and the community.
While she is grateful for the many professional connections and experiences that have enriched her career, Ms. McHugh is thrilled to begin this new chapter at Miller’s Point Elementary. She looks forward to building relationships with the students, families, and staff who make Miller's Point a special place. Guided by collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to excellence, she is eager to lead the school in embracing this year’s theme, “Soaring to Success.” Together, the Miller’s Point community will inspire students to reach new heights academically, socially, and emotionally.
