Disability Resource Expo

Districts must provide information about the safe storage of firearms to the parent or guardian of each student enrolled in the district or school at least three times each school year as required by HB 121. The Texas Department of Public Safety’s Keep ’Em Safe Texas campaign offers free downloadable resources, including posters, flyers, presentations, coloring sheets, and suggested social media posts, to promote safe gun storage. The TxSSC recommends providing this information at beginning of the school year, before holidays and breaks, and at the end of the school year.
