In order for your children to be provided physical support (nurse) or emotional/mental health support through our counselor and/or social worker, we must have your consent by checking "yes". This is because of the new Texas SB 12 that passed this summer. Please make sure you have completed that form in Skyward. You can reopen the forms to make sure you completed it. We are providing a Step-by-Step Guide for you.

POST-DRILL COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION
Dear MPE Families,
This morning, Miller’s Point Elementary School conducted a practice LOCKDOWN Drill today. LOCKDOWN drills are conducted to ensure students and staff practice the Standard Response Protocols and know how to respond should a LOCKDOWN occur at our school.
Our students and staff did a great job during the drill, and we will debrief with our local first responders to continue to identify any areas for improvement. Thank you for your continued support.

This summer, the state of Texas passed SB 12. SB 12 requires school districts to provide Parental Rights Form and Right to Health-Related Services Information.
To comply with the parental rights form requirement, we need all parents to go in to Skyward and complete these forms. We must have these forms completed in order to provide routine school-based counseling and health related services.
If you have any questions, please call the campus at 210.945.5114.

COMMUNITY NOTIFICATIONS OF LOCKDOWN DRILL
Dear Miller’s Point Families,
As we maintain our focus on campus safety and security, we wanted to inform you that we will be conducting a practice LOCKDOWN drill during the week of 9/2/5-9/5/25. We want to ensure that all students, staff, and visitors are prepared in the event of any emergency, including what actions should be taken during a LOCKDOWN. Practice of emergency procedures through drills and training can reduce confusion.
We will not be conducting any live scenarios during our LOCKDOWN drill, meaning there will be no loud simulations, blank rounds, or explosive sounds.
“DRILL IN PROGRESS” signage will be posted at front entrance to the school building.
NO VISITORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER OR EXIT THE BUILDING DUIRNG THE DURATION OF THE LOCKDOWN DRILL.
We invite you to review the I Love You Guys Standard Response Protocols on our district’s safety and security website https://www.judsonisd.org/o/jisd/page/emergency-responses-and-reunification-method
Thank you for your continued support.
