Mr. Joshua Ellis

My name is Joshua Ellis, and I am extremely excited to be named principal of Miller's Point Elementary. This is my 17th year at Judson ISD, and I have lived in the Miller's Point Community for 10 years.  

 
I grew up in Smithville, Texas and attended Texas State University where I received a BA in English and an MA in Literature.  After graduation, I began my teaching career at Judson High School as an English teacher. In 2012, I joined the District Curriculum and Instruction Department as an English Language Arts and Reading Specialist. In 2015, I moved to Metzger Middle School as the Academic Dean.  Over the past 6 years, I have served as an assistant principal at Wagner High School, Salinas Elementary, and Escondido Elementary. 
 

I have an 8-year-old daughter named Roslyn.  In my spare time, I coach her soccer team and play indoor and outdoor soccer as well.  We love visiting bookstores and reading any chance that we get.
